Eggs and Bacon Anyone??

My son is in Pre-K.  Each week they work on a letter.  This week we are on "E".  We have snack tomorrow and I like to coordinate the letter of the week to the snacks I send in.  Since I figured most children would not be fond of Edamane, (LOL) I decided to make these.  They are super easy to make and my son is so excited to bring in.  Anything for my baby!!!

These were made for a single guy moving into a new home.  Since these are for a guy, I thought the simpler the better!

Radio Station Cookies

These are on their way to MA for a college reunion.  All the guys worked on the college radio station so I thought it was a cute idea to make the microphone.  I was quickly told by my husband that they used a boom microphone (nice)!  Hey, this is what they got!  Thanks Judy for thinking of me!  Have fun at the get together!

My new Kopykake projector!!

Yeah!!!!  It's finally here!!  I've been asking for a kopykake projector for sometime now.  Finally, my hubby got me one!!!  Thank Babe!!

I hope this will help with using different fonts and I might....that's a might.....start to try some character cookies.  They scare me but with this I may.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!

I can't believe another year has gone by.  It feels like yesterday I received my first cookie order.  Thank you everyone for your continued support and encouragement this past year with my cookie and cupcake adventure.  I truly love making cookies and cupcakes for y'all!!  I wish you and your families a very Happy Holiday season and many, many blessings in 2012.

Dear Sweet Cake Friends,

     After being home with my two beautiful, wonderful children for the past three years full-time, I am going back to the classroom.  My first day is tomorrow and I am so excited.  I will still be baking and making lots of cookies and cupcakes at night and on the weekends.  I can't stay away from a good cookie or cupcake!!!  I ask that if you need any cookies or cupcakes for your special occasions, please give me at least a weeks notice if you are local to the Atlanta area.  If you need cookies shipped, please give me at least two weeks notice.

A Precious Gift

Many of you may or may not know I am a New York girl.  About 8 years ago my husband was transferred to Georgia for his job.  We have fallen in love with the South and honestly can not see moving back to the North.  It gets way too cold up there.  LOL!!  The only thing that has been hard for us is being so far away from our family.  We moved here not knowing anyone but have made some wonderful friends over the years who have become our family. 

Anyway, my parents have since bought a summer home near us and came down last week.  Can you say EXCITED!!!!!  My children are over the moon excited that their Granny and Poppy are here.  And well, I'm happy to have the extra help even if it's for a couple of months.

Every time my parents come down, they always bring stuff.  Well, this trip my mom brought along all her cookie cutters and a few from a long, long time ago.  She brought my grandmothers old cookie cutters and gave them to me.  I can't tell you how honored I am to have them here with me and to use the same ones she once used.  How nice!!!!

 My grandma and grandpa were big card players so she had the shapes to match a deck of cards.  She was known for making the sandwiches in the following shapes.

Vendor Day

We had a Vendor day in our neighborhood this past Sunday.  It was a great day even though it was almost 100 degrees here.  I made a whole bunch of different cookies to display as well as the cupcakes.  I did very well and had a great time.  The posts below are all the different cookie designs I brought with me.  A lot of work but I am so glad I did it.
